Jerry A. DiMaso

Ciro A. “Jerry” DiMaso, 67, of Hazlet, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn, he was also a resident of Staten Island before moving to Hazlet in 1988.

Mr. DiMaso was an excellent baseball player and was an avid sports fan, and would especially root for the New York Mets and Giants. He enjoyed all genres of music and was able to make friends with anyone. Most of all he was a hard working man; always true to his word and to himself. An excellent protector and provider, he was truly the rock of his family, for whom he would do anything. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Olga DiMaso, and his brother Louis DiMaso. Throughout their lives, Jerry and Louie were especially close. Their bond was only broken for 2 days before they were reunited. Surviving are his devoted wife of 40 years Jean (Potenzieri) DiMaso of Hazlet; his 2 beloved daughters Olga and Emily DiMaso; his sister Lisa Motisi and her husband John; his niece AnnaMaria Motisi and nephew John Motisi; as well as the best doggie in the Universe, Ralphy.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Road in Middletown. A funeral liturgy will be offered at 11 am at Holy Family R.C. Church 727 Route 36 North in Union Beach. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
